Are You in Limbo—Which Firm Is The Right Choice?

Corey shares a real conversation with an advisor who’s been debating for 1–2 years whether his current firm is the right long-term partner. He’s had a few high-level conversations with other firms, but never went beyond surface level. Then his wife finally said it best:

“You can’t keep being in two boats at the same time—you’ll drive yourself (and everyone around you) crazy. Go all the way through the exploration process and make a confident decision: stay or go.”

The point Corey emphasizes is simple: the “what if” loop running in the background of your brain takes up more time, energy, and stress than actually going through a structured due diligence process and making a decision one way or the other.

If this sounds like you, it doesn’t have to be that hard. With a consultant who has helped 1,000+ advisors objectively explore the broker-dealer and RIA marketplace, you can get the right information quickly, reduce stress, and avoid living in that constant state of “purgatory.”

Whether you decide to stay or make a move, Corey’s promise is the same: you’ll have his full support either way.

Intro

Corey: Hey everyone, Corey Whan, managing partner, Bridgemark Strategies, firm that’s helped thousands of financial adviserss objectively explore the broker dealer and RAIA marketplace and help them find the firm with the right combination of feel, fit, and financials for them in their business.

One Foot in Two Boats

Corey: I spoke with an adviser last week. He’s been heavily considering if his firm is the right partner over the long term for the last year or two. He’s been going back and forth having highlevel conversations with different firms but never really going any deeper than surface level conversations.

Corey: And the other day he reached out to me and his wife told him, “Brian, you can’t keep mentally being in two different places at once. You’re going to drive yourself crazy and you’re definitely driving me crazy.”

Stay or Go Decision

Corey: Go all the way through the exploration process and make a confident, informed decision if you should stay or go. I’m with you either way, but having one foot in one boat and one foot in a different boat is driving me nuts and it’s going to drive you nuts.

Corey Relates + Advisor Purgatory

Corey: And we laughed a little bit together because I’ve been there myself at different points in my career. And I really think a lot of financial adviserss are in the same position.

Corey: they’re unhappy or they have a feeling that there might be something better out there, but they don’t want to invest a huge amount of time to find out what else is out there.

What-If Brain Space

Corey: What they might not know or understand is the brain space that’s being taken up by that whatif scenario constantly running in the back of your head is far more time and effort than actually going through the due diligence process and making a decision one way or another.

It Doesn’t Have to Be This Hard

Corey: If this rings a bell with you, it really doesn’t have to be this hard. With a consultant like myself that’s done this over a thousand times, we can get you the information that you need as quickly as possible and point you in the right direction and save you a bunch of stress and time so you aren’t constantly in this state of purgatory.

Support Either Way + Call to Action

Corey: Whether their decision at the end of the process is to stay or go, my promise to you is that you’re 100% going to have my support either way.

Corey: But I really hope that this video helped. And if you have any questions at all, please reach out. I’ve helped so many financial advisors just like you in this position. And my contact information is all over my YouTube page. It’s all over my podcast and my website, coreywhuelin.com.

Wrap-up
